Spring loaded ratchet mechanisms that minimize operator fatigue by allowing the ring to be compressed or expanded thru gradual "moves" and then locks at the desired size without continued pressure on the handles. Heavy and large rings are safely and easily controlled. 2 pliers take place of 16 pliers. Set includes 2 replaceable tip retaining ring pliers and 8 pairs of tips packaged in a blow molded case.
